I gained my CIMA qualification in 1990, while working full-time in a manufacturing environment, followed by a number of engagements with commercial and industrial enterprises.

In 1992, I set up my own practice, having seen a need for accountants with hands-on industrial experience. I quickly established a client base with business owners in the SME sector, who gained valuable information on their business performance from my knowledge and experience, in a cost-effective, part-time working relationship.

Since then, I have worked across many business sectors, providing owners with part-time and interim solutions to their accounting and management information requirements.

To keep abreast of recent developments in best management practice, I undertook a two-year part-time Executive MBA degree with University College Cork, qualifying in 2009.

My other interests include scuba diving, where I’m qualified as an Instructor/Examiner, boating, photography and astronomy.
